SEX SLAVES: Greed and lust often turn out to be their own punishment. Accumulating material possessions isn't all that satisfying to most people. You become a slave to your possessions and that's true whether we're talking about a car, a vacation property, or I suppose even a sex slave. Sometimes there is a satisfaction that comes with owning something, but more often than not it's just more work than it's worth. Be careful what you wish for. There may be unforeseen and unpleasant consequences to endure should your wishes be fulfilled.

SEXBOTS VS. SEX SLAVES: Eventually the sexbots will be far preferable to the humans for quite a few reasons. Humans stink, complain, grow old, have attitudes, have monthly disruptions in service, get sick, spread disease, need to be fed, produce biological waste, etc. SEXBOTS can be perfect in so many ways that it would be hard for a human to compete! On the other hand, if all you're looking for is human companionship, then a mail-order bride will probably work, at least until sexbots become better than humans at that too!

SEXBOTS VS. SEX SLAVES: Neither is a possibility as of yet or at this time. I know they technically have sexbots, but they aren't much better than blow up dolls. So, for at least the present time you can get hitched the traditional way, go the mail-order route, or deal with your lustful desires in some other way, but sexbots ain't actually a thing yet and sex slaves ain't legal. That's not saying that there's anything wrong with sick and twisted fantasies pertaining to either of those things, but that's another topic!

CactusHugger: You seem to assume that dealing with lustful desires is the main focus of this thread and while I'll admit that lustful desires are relevant, there's also the goal of having children. You can't have children with a sexbot and I doubt there will ever be a sexbot that can become pregnant. There's always the outside possibility that an artificial womb may be developed at some point in the future, but that's another issue completely!

shadylady: And then there's simple companionship. Some people are just plain lonely and need someone around to keep them from feeling all alone. Sex, children, and companionship are all possible goals. Different people simply have different priorities.

panamint_patty: Most people who value companionship above sex don't have any problem finding a partner. It's picky people who wind up in a bind where they can find plenty of companionship, but no one they find attractive. And so it's usually people like that who resort to mail-order brides, especially if they don't have much to offer. Not to be mean, but let's face it...

CactusHugger: Amen to that! And marriage in general would be a lot more palatable if it came with some kind of money back guarantee as well!

There should be someting called marriage insurance. The problem is that considering the high divorce rate, the premium is likely to be pretty high. Otherwise how would companies ever make any money?
