Trickle-Down Theory's Pathetic Imbalance
Our economic system is a joke. If this were a true democracy this kind of inequality would not be possible! Union busting has resulted in an increase in the gap between the super rich and the rest of us!

If you think the one percent is bad. I read a long time ago that the top 1 percent of the 1 percent own most of the wealth of the rest of the bottom 1 percent combined. For all I know the graph keeps climbing. Maybe there is some off world being like in the movie Avatar that doesn't even care about money at all and is only interested in obtaining unobtainium.

Tim Durham is featured in this video but he is poor compared to the Waltons.

So how did he make his fortune?

It's not time for a minimum wage, it's time for a maximum wage
There are some jobs that should be available for only $8/hr and people should not be priced out of a job just because an employer can't afford to offer a certain job, but at the other end of the scale there are people who are paid way more than they could possibly be worth.

maximum wage: Isn't the idea behind progressive tax schedules the same as creating a maximum wage cap. What I mean is that it's just another way of achieving the same goal. Also progressive tax is a more workable way of wealth redistribution since how could you ever actually impose a wage cap? Many wealthy people have very diversified sources of income and so they don't so much earn money as they get return on investments. Progressive income tax is a good way to skim off the top in order to help out the poor.

How 62 People Are Wealthier Than 3.5 Billion People
This is interesting, but I think the stats are distorted a bit to make it seem worse than it actually is. Maybe adjusting for locally inflated real estate values would be a good idea, for instance.

Why Are Millionaires Calling for Higher Taxes?
It's in everybody's best interests to reduce poverty, suffering, etc.

Why Socialism Destroys Liberty
Alex Jones is an idiot and this video proves it. Socialism gives people freedom from being wage slaves to employers. By the end of the video Jones is way out into the deep end swimming in a pool of BS so putrid that it's amazing that anyone even takes him seriously.

Minimum Wage: Sometime ago, like maybe a few weeks, I heard something about the minimum wage in California being increased to twenty dollars per hour over the course of the next few years. This seems crazy to me. There are plenty of people who aren't worth even ten dollars an hour. So, now we're going to pay them double that? But the reality will be that jobs for people like that will just cease to exist and so they'll just get unemployment benefits at the expense of the rest of us.
