tronagirl: Just click the link called BLOG at the top of this page. Once the blog index loads find Silver Cholla on that page and click the link for that page and there you go! I really like the looks of that flower!

Las Vegas Desert Cholla Cactus ATV :sun:
Looks like someone got a little more intimate with a cholla than he wanted! Can't say as I feel terribly sorry for him considering the damage ATVers routinely do to the desert!

wildrose: That teddy bear cholla doesn't look like the kind of teddy bear I'd want to snuggle with! I bet you could end up with a bad infection if enough of those cactus parts got stuck on you. I will steer clear of those things!

And the drunker you are the more they jump. I swear that's a verifiable fact that can be proven true by a properly inebriated research team!

dingleberry: Yes, I think you're right. All research teams should be properly inebriated. Otherwise, they'll be intolerably serious and nobody should be expected to put up with someone in that state of mind.

Ouch! Jumping Cactus Attack!
This guy proves in graphic detail that Teddy bear cholla cacti are most definitely NOT cute and cuddly like Teddy bears!

mrgreen: I've got stuck by cactus before and I've seen people get stuck with cactus before, but I've never seen anyone have such a difficult time removing a chunk of cactus. The guy's hand even swelled up. That's definitely what I'd call a prickly situation!

twister: I've seen people deal with cholla cactus segments many times and a couple have been a bit tenacious, but normally they aren't too difficult to disengage. Clearly the guy in the video is over-dramatizing for the sake of gaining audience attention. He overdoes it a bit and seems like a bit of an idiot, but I'm sure most of his audience are completely clueless. The video has over 8 million views and over 56k thumbs up and so it's obvious that there's no shortage of stupid YouTube viewers!
