MojaveMike: You said that the world is full of people who like to make excuses. Those people are known as democrats and they still believe that Hillary Clinton (the queen of the excuse makers) should be president. People who make excuses have difficulties dealing with reality.

MojaveMike: What you say is pretty much true. Anoexia was never much of a problem compared with teenage and childhood obesity and virtually all over-weight people are perfectly capable of losing weight if they make that a priority in their lives. Almost no one has a medical issue which causes them to be over-weight. It happens, but it is rare.

Being Fat Shamed Was the Reality Check Brian Grazer Needed
These guys start out talking about fat shaming and how it can be a good thing and then they go off to another topic (guys with small dicks) for awhile before returning to the topic of fat shaming. This seems relevant to the topic of fat cheerleaders brought up in this thread.

People are rejecting a lot of the victimhood bullcrap that has become increasingly popular since the 1980s. They aren't accepting the notion that a fat cheerleader is something that should be tolerated. They're starting to question some of the snowflake values that have been pushed on us by the popular media. There's definitely some pushing back that's happening and it's long overdue!

Phone Sex Line Number Printed As Suicide Hotline On Middle School Student ID Cards
This is pretty funny. Mistakes do happen! And this one sounds like an honest, but funny, mistake!

pdm: Funny, yes, but humorless people like to dwell on WHAT IF SOMETHING HORRIBLE HAPPENED? We all know that people who lack a sense of humor tend to be dullards and so it would be best if they all just STFU!

Why Music Teacher Won’t Face Charges After Punching Student
I'm not saying that he should be put away for years and years, but he did commit a felony and there's no way around that.

sandman: He does seem like he was a very good teacher, but for the sake of fairness and consistency he should not receive special treatment. Nothing about that situation justified hitting the student. He was completely out of control and should be held accountable for what he did. There's no getting around it. A felony was committed and to just drop the case is not fair to people who have served time for lesser crimes.

wildrose: I couldn't agree more. The guy had no excuse for what he did. He should be held accountable just like anyone else. There's no doubt that there are tens of thousands of people who have wound up with prison sentences after doing less. There is a need for the justice system to be fair and to just let the guy off because a lot of people sympathize with him isn't how the system is supposed to work!

Survey shows American kids have doubled their online video consumption in 4 years
Nothing surprising here. Screen time has stayed about the same. The difference is less TV and more online video, especially YouTube.
