Experts predict more than 230,000 U.S. coronavirus deaths by November
Every individual has a choice to make: Do you want to be part of the solution or part of the problem? 230,000 deaths is a lot and it doesn't have to be that many. We've made mistakes in the last few months, but we can get serious and do the right thing from this point forward. Don't go out in public unless it is absolutely necessary and when you do go out in public follow all applicable safety precautions.

Florida physicians warn of COVID 'superspreader' events if schools reopen without virus protections
California is in about the same shape as Florida in terms of the number of people testing positive for COVID. To increase the risk of spread by reopening schools seems beyond stupid. The fewer people out and about in public the better. Only essential workers should be working in public situations and everyone else should be staying home away from places where people congregate to the greatest degree possible. If it's not absolutely necessary, don't go out in public!

Some schools close after reopening amid COVID-19
The reality is that it's not safe physically attend school. Wishful thinking won't make the pandemic go away. It's distance learning for awhile, possibly a long while.

Coronavirus model projects U.S. death toll could hit 300,000 by December
Wearing masks doesn't cut it. Stay at home and don't go out in public except when absolutely necessary. Keep shopping trips to a minimum. If you can work from home, then work from home! It doesn't matter if there are few KNOWN cases in your area, eventually if this model is correct, there will be! Remember people can be asymptomatic for two weeks before they realize that they're sick and during that time they can spread the virus. Some people never develop clear symptoms, but they can still spread the sickness. The more the virus spreads, the more people die.

NJ principal calls pro-police flag 'racist', angry parent joins 'Tucker'
School administrators (and teachers too) need to remain objective about social issues. They can't pander to one side or the other at this time when extremists on both sides have become increasingly strident and outspoken.

Student suspended after posting photo of crowded hallway
There are clear guidelines in place. If a school can't follow them, then it shouldn't be open.

Georgia teen says school used students as guinea pigs
It's interesting that the main backlash against this girl is from other students. Most likely the jocks are upset that sports events are cancelled and the popular kids are upset that dances and other events are cancelled. Normal kids are probably happy that they get a few days off from school. Although lots of high school kids are smart and sensible, there's no shortage of short-sighted idiots, but that's true of any group of people.
