Micro Farm - $100K per quarter acre

THIS IS HOW MY FARM WORKS! - $100K on a quarter acre
Lots of modifications would be necessary to do this in the desert, but it could work providing that the state of California doesn't have too many restrictions, rules, and regulations which would make it impossible.

panamint_patty: Combined with the use of solar panels and a system to recycle water, I could see something like this working. Possibly an indoor hydroponics set up or and outdoor situation using lots of shade and drip irrigation. None of that is all that expensive to set up if you know what your doing and you do it yourself. HOWEVER, like you say, as harsh as the desert climate may be, the state of California is much more likely to be the biggest obstacle someone with a little entrepreneurial spirit is likely to face when trying to get a business like this off the ground.
