Online Secret Police Acknowledged At Senate Hearing
Troll farms here in the USA have been around for over a decade. There's every reason to believe that all major countries have similar programs. Although many trolls are simply hobbiests, it's a highly-paid career for others!

Facebook is surveillance monster feeding on our personal data - Richard Stallman
Online anonymity is incredibly important. It allows for the free sharing of information without fear of retribution. Absolutely necessary in a free society.

Anonymity: The Greatest Weapon Against Oppression - Learn Liberty
Besides being a fan of blackturtle.us in general (books and videos), I also believe in online anonymity. That's why I post here on tronanews.us. Many excellent point made in this video explaining why anonymity is important. The United States of America would not exist without it!

Biden considers enlisting private groups to surveil 'domestic terrorists' online
It's a convenient way to get around the First Amendment and it's something that laws should be created to prevent from ever happening.

sandman: The government has gotten around legal barriers since 1984 by using private organizations (which it funds) to engage in what would be illegal for them to do. This is obviously a violation of law, but it was easy to sell because the organization all this began with was the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. One of their biggest objectives is to deal with illegal pornography and they also BTW have the world's largest collection of illegal pornography. When we allow our laws to compromised (even when our intent is good), we deceive ourselves and open the door for pure evil. The ends do not justify the means!
