CNET Top 5 : money-sucking technologies
What do printers, cable service, cell phones, digital subscriptions, and anti-virus software have in common?
They are all a big waste of money! :curse:

Great list!
So far I've managed to stay free of digital subscriptions and I gave up cable a few years ago. But I still pay for the other three! I'll see what I can do to eliminate another one or two of these money-sucking technologies!

I ain't got none of that crap! All I have is an old computer and basic internet through the phone company. I've never had much use for a cell. Heck I'm not even in a service area most of the time anyways!

I know a couple people who always purchase every new gadget that comes along. What a waste of money! Either they simply must have the latest iPhone or the latest Samsung Galaxy or whatever they can get that's the latest and the greatest. On the other hand, I don't know many people who waste money on digital subscriptions!

Just read another post elsewhere on this message board and it turns out that The Young Turks have a subscription based website. As far as I'm concerned everyone should refuse to pay fees to access websites. In fact, I'm in favor of a rule banning all pay-for-access sites from the World Wide Web!

Seems like a lot of mobile gadgets have been released lately. I wonder how many people rushed off to purchase the latest and the greatest. Some people just gotta have the newest gadget as soon as it is available and then there are those of us who just DO NOT give a dern!

This smart desk nudges you to stand more :wtf:
The price tag on this thing is over $3000. I'm not seeing how it could possibly be worth more than $600. It's a good idea, but it seems to me that something like this could be made for about $300 if the unnecessary electronics were left out.
