Jackery solar power station review
The set up shown in this video sells for about $1500 on Amazon at this time. How low will a system like this go in a few years?

At What Angle Should Rooftop Solar Panels Be Installed?
Angle of tilt makes a difference, but it's not a very large difference.

His Windows OS sucks and so I'm not sure if he's the best guy to take advice from, but this is still an interesting interview.

California Just Ran Out of Electricity
California can't even supply adequate electricity on a hot day. How in the heck would things work if everybody had electric vehicles? Here are a couple factoids to help put things in perspective:
ELECTRIC CAR: 40 kWh for 150 miles of driving distance.
AC PER HOUR: 3.5 kWh (and even on hot days people aren't likely to run the AC all day long)
Depending on how much you drive, an electric car will cost you more than using AC on a hot day and while you use AC only on hot days, you probably need to drive all year long. In other words, California is nowhere near able to generate enough energy to keep electric cars charged! The existing infrastructure is probably about 40% of what is needed.
