Viral Short Film Makes Point About Smartphone Addiction I'm not sure if internet addiction is real or fake, but I've seen some pretty strong evidence for smartphone addiction. Some people take them every where and are on them constantly.
I know someone on this forum has already said this in one of the other threads, but it bears repeating: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS INTERNET ADDICTION! You can be addicted to video games, social networking, online gambling, etc., but you're not going to be addicted to the internet. It's specific things on the internet that people get addicted to.

Ultimately the dopamine hits are not supplied by Facebook itself, but by other Facebook users. So, any liability would fall on users of the platform, not the owners or designers of the platform. As usual, similar arguments can be made about telephones and their impact on society. Just the same, this video contains lots of provocative statements, assertions, and quotes... the kind of thing that people addicted to outrage are drawn to... hypocrisy?
