'It makes you paranoid': US protesters turn against $1.5bn mega spy complex :curse:
There's been a lot of talk about this complex in Utah over the years and now it is apparently operational. Groups who believe that the Constitution should be upheld are against this type of governmental intrusion into their lives and recognize the importance of Snowden's contributions to freedom and liberty.

It's good to see Americans standing up for what is right instead of complacently accepting tyranny! It's a little surprising to see folks in Utah actually standing up and protesting against government intrusion into our private lives. Maybe my view of Mormons is based on an inaccurate stereotype or maybe the people protesting just aren't Mormons, but either way at least someone is protesting!

Hopefully something gets done about all this governmental surveillance. I don't want to live in a country where everything I do is being monitored. That makes it way too easy for someone like a Hitler to come along and do away with anyone who disagrees with him. If you don't think that something like that could ever happen again, think again!

NSA Utah Data Center
Some good info about this data center. FYI, it's located south of SLC in Bluffdale, Utah.

Anti-Spyware: Independent ISPs fight back for privacy of Americans
ISPs like this will probably be harassed by governmental agencies and big corporations will probably try to squeeze them out in one way or the other. It's good to see an ISP with integrity, but integrity is something that is extremely expensive in the good ole USA!

Li'l NSA Spy Kit
This is just plain too good not to share! Sometimes the truth hurts, but with a little humor it's at least a little bit easier to take!

I've heard that the government has been busy recruiting young people to work as spies to keep track of our communications. Most any kid out of high school would be easily enticed by the promise of a high-paying job working for a security agency. Not only does it sound prestigious, but it pays well. I'm sure that young men serving Hitler back in WWII felt a similar sense of pride and importance.

NSA Using Cookies To 'Enable Remote Exploitation'?
It sounds like the NSA is a bureaucracy that is completely out of control. The NSA should be carefully monitored and regulated to make sure they don't keep pulling this kind of crap. There's no place for this kind of totalitarian/fascist behavior in the USA... at least not in the real USA.

Out of control is about right. There needs to be a lot more done to guarantee that law enforcement agencies actually abide by the law. There are many agents and officers who disregard the law and just do whatever it takes to catch those they've decided are criminals. These agents and officers need to keep in mind that they aren't the judge and jury and that they should only take action when appropriately authorized and such authorization should be strictly governed by clear laws and regulations! On top of that regular audits should be performed to ensure that no one has over stepped their authority!

NSA Can Decode Private Cell Phone Calls, Texts: Report :mad2:
Sounds like AT&T is behind the curve, but the bigger problem is the extent to which the NSA is prying into the private business of citizens without proper authorization. An even bigger problem is that it is way to easy to obtain proper authorization! The funny thing is that in these news stories they always try to make it sound like the government is attempting to force companies to turn over the data, but we all know that the companies control the government and so it's pretty obvious that the companies and the government are in collusion and that they both work together to intrude into the private lives of citizens. They just take turns pretending to be the ones protecting citizens. What a scam!!!
