Welcome to the High-Tech Jail of the 21st Century
The topic here is prison technology and I'd like to keep the focus reasonably close to the actual topic. What I'd like to explore in this thread are ways that robotics and management systems can be used to make prisons safer and more efficient. It seems that many companies have hopped onto the private prison bandwagon in order to gouge the system and I'm not interested in that topic. What I wish to discuss are ways to improve the prison experience through the use of technology. How can we make it more cost effective and safer, while hopefully rehabilitating incarcerated individuals?

High Tech Prison North Branch Correctional Institution Prison - The Best Documentary Ever!
This looks like it might be on topic, but it's a long video. I may have time to get through it eventually.

Superjail scene funny
The idea of some kind of flying guard tower definitely fits in with the idea of a high tech prison. Otherwise, this clip is pretty silly!

Prison Inmates Strike Across The Country
Better prison design would almost certainly make prisons safer and allow for more successful rehabilitation.

ANKLE MONITORS FOR JUVENILE DELINQUINTS
Although the people in this video are against the use of ankle monitors, it seems like a really good idea to me. I'd even go as far as adding a shock collar to be quite honest!

Brings visions of kids playing video games on their ankle monitors. Ok maybe I shouldn't joke around like that. Hadn't thought about TYT in a long time. Seems like their fake news due to Trump Derangement Syndrome has destroyed their credibility.
