Biometrics and Privacy Concerns

US creates new biometrics system and its data will be stored on Amazon Сloud
All sorts of issues here including privacy and data security. It's hard to know where to start, but I think accumulation of personal info is inevitable. The problem is what can people with bad intentions do with this data.

There is no stopping the use of biometrics and with time complete files on every living person will be compiled. That's a lot of data and it's not clear who will control it and who will be able to use it and for what purposes it will be used. Most likely there will be a lot of good to come from all that data, but the hazards at this point are mostly unknown.

Face-projectors used to beat facial recognition technology?
Interesting idea. It probably wouldn't work very well, but it is an interesting way of looking at the issue.

What happens after you spit in the tube?
Privacy concerns are overrated. Contributing to scientific advancement is what matters.
