The video for this song was posted on YouTube Mar 31, 2015 and has nearly five million views at this time. Although not a huge number of views by USA standards, it's still substantial. Certainly the song lyrics are much more substantial than the lyrics of the typical American pop song, but then that's not exactly saying much given the pathetically superficial nature of American pop culture.

This is easily the greatest female vocal performance of all time. Here in the USA people sometimes regard the pathetic whining of Whitney Houston as something to be admired. Such retarded decadence can only occur in people who have no spiritual connection to anything other than the trivial. So, many soulless subhumans inhabit this once great nation. It would be good to cleanse this nation of the worthless and the irresponsible.

I concede your point, but a close second would be "Willy of Winsbury" by Pentangle. You can look it up on YouTube easily enough, but it's also listed in the Celtic Folk Music thread on this forum.

:thumb: Thank-you for saying that! :thumb:
Whitney Houston sang some of the most pathetic songs in the history of pop music. Trite, superficial, cliche, platitudinous don't even begin to describe how horrible her songs are.

The Soviet anthem as you’ve never heard it before
It would be reasonable to say that this performance is electrifying!

10 RUSSIAN songs you've heard but don't know the name
Most of these you are likely to recognize. The last one is especially good.
