I caught part of a video about Taylor Swift being criticized for a scene in one of her new videos which some people consider to be fat phobic. Her video showed her standing on a scale and instead of displaying a weight, the scale just read FAT. I thought that was pretty funny, but some people were offended. Everyone should have a healthy disgust for obesity. It's a major health issue which is almost entirely avoidable.

CactusHugger: The song sucks! But to appease the whiners she took out the offensive scene where the camera zooms in to the word fat right in front of her toes. If she were a true artist, she would have stood up to the woke crowd, but no her music sucks anyways and so she's nothing even remotely close to an actual artist. She's just a lame pop star conforming to the whims of the market.

He has a point. Instead of worrying about anorexia, we should be concerned about overweight and inactive children. They shouldn't be riding around on motorcycles or quads, they should be pedaling bikes, running, and walking. Parents shouldn't give them rides everywhere they go, they should expect kids to walk there themselves. And then there's video games....

People nowadays might consider this fatphobic, but it's just good commonsense. Fat is not healthy!

Sitting around playing video games is probably the biggest problem, but there are other lifestyle factors which contribute to the obesity epidemic. The thing is a lot of people sort all that out and figure out strategies to keep their weight under control whereas others completely fail. I think it has a lot to do with intelligence.

Judge Jeanine drops the hammer on the 'quick-fix generation'
Kids are in worse shape now more than ever! Given the choice between frosted mini wheat versus a fried egg (as proposed by one of the commentators), I don't know that either is terribly healthy.

Like the guy says, it's a simple equation. Food intake and exercise determine weight. :smack:

cows: Like you say the equation is simple, but the problem is that excuses are easy. Many people who can't do the math are quite good at making excuses.

Corporate America will sell you the food to make you fat and big pharma will sell you products to help you lose weight. It's a win-win for them and a lose-lose for you!
